1. ARTS & CRAFTS: BLEEDING TISSUE PAPER

STEP 1: THE KIDS START BY PAINTING SMALL AREAS WITH A WHITE WAX CRAYON. THEN, ADD SOME WATER AND LAYING DOWN PIECES OF BLEEDING TISSUE PAPER.



STEP 2: THEN THEY DAB THE TOP WITH A BIT MORE WATER TO MAKE SURE IT'S SATURATED ENOUGH AND WON'T BUDGE.





STEP 3: ONCE DRY, PICK OFF THE PIECES OF TISSUE PAPER TO REVEAL THE COLORS UNDERNEATH.

MONDRIAN'S COLOURS

Piet Mondrian was a Dutch avant-garde painter. He developed his style using black lines and only primary colours to create pictures.

AIMS:

Children look at examples of real art and recreate the style using colours.

 Using the three primary colors (red, yellow & blue) students have created geometric shapes with black strips of paper in the style of Piet Mondrian’s Composition with Red, Yellow and Blue.
