  First of all I owe you an apology 
for not having updated the blog for so long. 
I am sorry! 
  So let's start with a quick review 
of what we did the first term, 
from September until Christmas.

    En primer lugar os debo unas disculpas por no haber actualizado 
    el blog durante tanto tiempo. ¡Lo siento!
    Así que empecemos con un repaso rápido de lo que hicimos el primer trimestre, 
   desde septiembre hasta Navidades.


We started a new school year in The Big Apple.


And of course there have to be some rules.

I read books, magazines, comics... I sang songs. I listened to music.

Estimados alumnos y alumnas de sexto:


Esta vez me tenéis que ayudar al escribir la propuesta VII en inglés. Pero antes querría deciros que lo siento no poder estar con vosotros y vosotras estos días, ya que estoy de tutor con los alumnos de cuarto. Sin embargo, estoy convencido de que podéis hacer un montón de cosas vosotros mismos y vosotras mismas en clase de inglés. La propuesta de esta semana es eso: traducir este texto al inglés. Las primeras personas en hacerlo cortan los textos. Después se ordena correctamente. Se puede hacer esta propuesta solo o en pareja. Escribe el texto en inglés en la libreta. La solución la podéis encontrar en el blog.

Use the emoticon charts. Learn the words to express your feelings. Draw, write and translate them in your notebooks.

Remember it is just a design and not a real mask!

Dear sixth graders,

How are you?

How are you doing?

How are things?

I hope you and your family are doing fine.

I gave you a break (= descanso) for a week, but now you have to get back to work. Although (=aunque) some of you already sent me some work you did. Great!
I am going to distinguish (= distinguir) between CLASS PROPOSALS, the ones you have to do this course (see picture) and CROWN PROPOSALS, ideas for these special weeks at home.

Some ideas of what you can do:

* understand what I write!!!;
* do a class proposal (you can find them on this blog,
  search the internet or ask me);
* do a crown proposal;
* listen to music;
* watch a video;
* send me an audio/video you made yourself (= tú mismo);
* write a diary and give me permission to publish it;
* tell me any idea or suggestion you have.

    Right click  on the link and it will lead you (=te llevará)

    I think it is fantastic! You can listen to all kinds of music

ARTS & GAMES
Little by little we are going to revise or explain all the grammar issues the students are supposed to know to start high school. You can find the whole list on the right (Page: High school). So far we did the PERSONAL PRONOUNS, the verb CAN, the IMPERATIVE and the SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE.

 Poco a poco vamos a revisar o explicar todos los temas gramaticales que el alumnado debe saber para comenzar el instituto. Se puede encontrar la lista entera a la derecha (página: High school). Hasta ahora hicimos los PRONOMBRES PERSONALES, el verbo CAN, el IMPERATIVO y el TIEMPO VERBAL DEL PRESENTE SIMPLE.





 Estimadas familias de sexto:

A continuación les especifico los contenidos de la Primera Lengua Extranjera Inglés para el sexto curso de Educación Primaria según el Real Decreto 126/2014 (Currículo básico de la Educación Primaria en el Boletín Oficial del Estado) y el Decreto 108/2014 (Currículo de la Educación Primaria en el Diari Oficial de la Comunitat Valenciana).
El aprendizaje de una lengua se divide en cuatro bloques:
  1. Comprensión de textos orales – listening
  2. Producción de textos orales – speaking
  3. Comprensión de textos escritos – reading
  4. Producción de textos escritos – writing

Contenidos funcionales:
Saludos, presentaciones, disculpas, agradecimientos, invitaciones e instrucciones.
La capacidad, el gusto, la preferencia, el acuerdo o desacuerdo, el sentimiento, la intención y los deseos.
Descripción de personas, datos personales, actividades, lugares, objetos, hábitos y planes.
Narraciones de hechos pasados, reales o ficticios, poemas, noticias y adivinanzas.
Petición y ofrecimiento de ayuda, información, instrucciones, objetos, opinión y permiso.
Comprensión para comunicarse y aprender en otras áreas del currículo.
Discriminación de los sonidos, acento y entonación.
Comprensión mediante herramientas de comunicación de vídeo y audio.
Cumplimentación de formularios. Empleo de la puntuación. Organización de ideas en párrafos. Uso de diccionarios en formatos distintos.
Todos los tiempos verbales menos el Past Perfect Tense (había hecho).

Contenidos socioculturales:
Costumbres, valores, creencias, y actitudes basados en el respeto y la tolerancia.
Celebraciones y festividades.
Conocimiento de características distintivas de otros países en relación a su vida diaria.

Contenidos léxicos:
El contenido léxico es muy amplio y depende de la realidad de cada contexto del ambiente y del interés del alumnado. Está dividido en 22 categorías: identificación personal; vivienda, hogar y entorno; actividades de la vida diaria; trabajo y ocupaciones; tiempo libre, ocio y deportes; viajes y vacaciones; el cuerpo, salud y cuidados físicos; características físicas; emociones; educación y estudio; la escuela y el aula; compras y actividades comerciales; alimentación y restauración; transporte; lengua y comunicación; fenómenos atmosféricos; animales; ropa; festividades y tradiciones; el tiempo y calendario; colores y números de más de 4 cifras.
Publicaré todo el vocabulario relacionado en el blogspot de inglés. Además, a lo largo del curso, subiré las propuestas a esa misma página con sus contenidos y vocabulario.

Contenidos transversales:
Esfuerzo, fuerza de voluntad. Constancia y hábitos de trabajo. Capacidad de concentración. Superación de obstáculos y fracasos. Aprendizaje autónomo. Selección de estrategias de aprendizaje cooperativo y por proyectos. Aceptación y comprensión de los puntos de vista de los demás. Planificación, organización y gestión de proyectos. Transformación de ideas en acciones. Admisión y aprendizaje a partir de los propios errores. Mejora del producto y el proceso tras la evaluación. Estimulación del entusiasmo.

Además de esta resumida información, su propio hijo o hija es una buena fuente para saber los contenidos que está/estamos trabajando. Preguntadle.
